4 Under-the-Radar Daily Fantasy Baseball Plays for 8/2/17

Why He Will Go Overlooked:

Carlos Santana is starting to heat up for the Cleveland Indians, and has another great matchup tonight against Rick Porcello. The Boston Red Sox starter has allowed a 44.8% hard-hit rate and 46.1% fly-ball rate to lefties, and Santana's posted 12.0-plus FanDuel points in seven of his last 10 games.

One less obvious option is Yonder Alonso. Despite being in the midst of a career-year, the Oakland Athletics first baseman will face a same-sided lefty and probably be under-owned.

Why You Should Use Him:

At first blush, rostering a lefty against another lefty may not seem to make a lot of sense. But diving into Matt Moore's numbers reveals this is the perfect opportunity.

This season against lefties, Moore has allowed a .455 wOBA, a 38.5% hard-hit rate and a 34.0% fly-ball rate.

While Alonso is only batting .188 against lefties, he's still managed to post a .219 ISO, and could be a very sneaky play on the slate.
