4 Under-the-Radar Daily Fantasy Baseball Plays for 8/15/17
Bradley Zimmer, OF, Cleveland Indians
FanDuel Price: $2,300
Why He Will Go Overlooked:
Even facing a same-sided lefty twirler, Charlie Blackmon is likely to be highly owned, and for good reason -- his splits are nearly identical from both sides at the plate, including slugging percentage (.610 as a lefty versus .617 as a righty), ISO (.260 versus .289, respectively) and wRC+ (142 versus 140, respectively). He will face rookie Sean Newcomb and will be a popular play.
Perhaps known a bit more for his glove, Bradley Zimmer of the Cleveland Indians and his .314 wOBA may go overlooked on today's main slate.
Why You Should Use Him:
Facing Bartolo Colon at hitter-friendly Minnesota (seventh in park factor over the last three years), the big name Indians are sure to be heavily owned, but Zimmer could float under the radar.
The veteran right-hander is getting absolutely torched by left-handed batters, allowing 1.57 home runs per nine innings pitched, a 41.9% hard-hit rate and a 43.2% fly-ball rate.
Zimmer, meanwhile, fares far better with the platoon advantage. In 2017, the rook has logged a 36.5% hard-hit rate and a 35.8% fly-ball rate against righties.
