Brandon Moss continues to make great contact, and he ranks 1st in average exit velocity and 4th in average batted-ball distance over the past 15 days. He sports a nice 35.4% hard-hit rate and 47.9% fly-ball rate against right-handed pitching.

He draws a plus matchup tonight against Tampa Bay Rays righty Alex Cobb , whose 4.67 SIERA is on pace to be a career-worst, and who has allowed a huge 38.5% hard-hit rate with only a 13.4% soft-hit rate to left-handed bats.

Moss hasn't been very productive this season, but his contact numbers leave him offering some huge upside, which isn't at all priced into his salary.
