Lance Lynn, SP, St. Louis Cardinals

On paper, Lance Lynn has a lot going for him. The opposing Cincinnati Reds have one of the lower implied team totals (3.83), and as a season-long asset, it's hard not to like that 2.94 ERA and 1.16 WHIP Lynn has put together in 2017. He's also incredibly cheap on a day we have a lot of strong hitting spots.

And yet, it's difficult to trust Lynn to get you enough points because of an underwhelming 4.80 SIERA. Equally as concerning is his noticeable decline in punchouts as we've gotten deeper into the season. Since the break, Lynn has just a 16.3% strikeout rate, down from 22.0% in the first half. Recall that this is a guy who missed all of 2016 recovering from Tommy John surgery, and he could very well be worn out after 29 starts.

If you want to go cheap in tournaments, Eduardo Rodriguez ($7,400) is much more intriguing option against the Oakland Athletics.
