Jose Martinez, OF, St. Louis Cardinals

When healthy, Jose Martinez has been a strong value play all month long. He's posted a .413 wOBA and 40.0% hard-hit rate since the All-Star break and remains way too cheap under $3,000.

However, despite the St. Louis Cardinals getting a solid 4.60 implied team total against Kyle Hendricks, this isn't that most enticing DFS spot. In the second half, Hendricks has posted very similar numbers to what he did last year, with a 2.34 ERA, 4.05 SIERA, and 25.8% hard-hit rate. The lack of hard contact remains his calling card, helping him rarely get shelled in a given start. In fact, he's allowed three or fewer runs in each of his last 12 starts.

In all, there's little upside in this matchup, and with pitching pricing down across the board tonight, you shouldn't have to force any value plays you're less comfortable with.
