Gleyber Torres, New York Yankees (SS)

The Yankees were fortunate enough to get a huge rookie season from the rookie last season while being fresh off the first-year spark that Gary Sanchez gave them the year before. Now it's Gleyber Torres' turn to wow the Bronx faithful in his first taste of the big leagues.

Torres may not start the season on the New York roster, but you can bet that, barring some kind of calamity, he'll be in the lineup very soon. He was on his way to a huge season in 2017, batting .273/.367/.496 in 32 AA games, and .309/.406/.457 in 23 games at AAA before he injured his elbow on a head-first slide into home.

He's not a big power guy (his career high in homers in the minors was nine in 94 AA games in 2016), but he's a great on-base presence and will get a ton of doubles. Given that he only has 23 AAA games under his belt, you might not see him until mid-May, but once he's up, you can expect to get a lot of production out of him in a powerful Yankees lineup.
