Another pitcher that struggled in 2017, Cole Hamels gave us a much bigger sample-size, and continued what looks to be a declining trend. His SIERA has increased in each of the last three seasons, culminating in a career-worst 4.90 last year. Righties made some outstanding contact against him, with a 37.9% hard-hit rate and only a 12.9% soft-hit rate, which translated to a 5.01 xFIP and .324 wOBA.

Stephen Piscotty is off to a slow start to the season, but that has him priced below $3,000 and makes him a bounce-back candidate tonight.

He made outstanding contact against southpaws in 2017, with a 12.5% soft-hit and 47.9% hard-hit rate. That carried Piscotty to a .379 wOBA against lefties over his four seasons in the majors, telling us that he's more than capable of doing serious damage against Hamels.
