Chris Stratton, SP, San Francisco Giants

With several of the top pitching options -- including Gio Gonzalez, Sonny Gray and Rick Porcello -- facing tough offenses, it may be tempting to pay down at pitcher with Chris Stratton and his pristine matchup against the San Diego Padres.

On the downside, Stratton doesn't miss many bats, and strikeouts are the lifeblood of DFS points for pitchers. He has just a 8.0% swinging-strike rate on the season, and career 8.5% mark. He's also struggled mightily with managing hard contact this season, as he has allowed a 50.0% hard-hit rate while forcing just a 24.1% ground-ball rate. Despite so many balls being hit hard and in the air, Stratton has been fortunate enough to avoid surrendering a home run so far this season.

A pitcher that doesn't get whiffs and surrenders hard contact in the air is the worst possible situation. Even in this strong matchup, Stratton is an avoid on Thursday.
