Minor has had a particularly tough time with right-handed hitters to start the season, with an awful 5.63 xFIP and allowing a 40.4% hard-hit rate. Furthermore, he has seen his fly-ball rate jump to a massive 61.7% so far.

Steve Pearce has a wOBA north of .400 against lefties this season, and while that's over a small sample, success against southpaws is nothing new for him.

Since the start of the 2016 season, Pearce has made 231 plate appearances against left-handed pitchers, turning a 38.7% hard-hit and 38.7% fly-ball rate into a .376 wOBA and .266 isolated slugging (ISO).
