J.D. Martinez, OF, Boston Red Sox

Another guy with a ridiculous batted-ball profile, J.D. Martinez has an otherworldly 54.9% hard-hit rate, 8.5% soft-hit rate and 45.1% fly-ball rate against southpaws since 2017. That has translated to absolutely absurd production as he owns a .504 wOBA and .453 ISO over 135 plate appearances in the split.

Texas Rangers lefty Mike Minor has a reasonable 4.02 SIERA to start the season, but right-handed hitters have made some terrific contact against him with a 42.7% hard-hit rate, 50.0% fly-ball rate and 13.2% soft-hit rate. That lines up way too perfectly for Martinez, and he has massive upside in this matchup.

Martinez did hurt his thumb yesterday, so make sure he's in the lineup.
