Fantasy Baseball: Which Atlanta Braves Pitchers Can You Trust?

Mike Soroka

As if the Braves didn't have enough young studs on the team already, here comes 20-year-old Mike Soroka with a crazy 95 mph sinker, terrific slider, and impossible-to-hit two-seam fastballs.

Soroka made his MLB debut against the Mets this week and was dominant, going six innings and giving up one earned run on six hits with no walks and five strikeouts. He was taken by Atlanta in the first round of the 2015 draft and came into the season as a top-35 prospect by virtually every prospect ranking outlet.

Anibal Sanchez is due to come off the disabled list this weekend (you don't want him on your fantasy team, gang) so a decision will have to be made with regard to Soroka. But even if he's sent down, it likely won't be for long, so add him to your rosters now and stash him if he's demoted back to Triple-A. If he does stay, he should immediately become a part of all rotations in deeper or NL-only leagues, and he should be added to your rotation in all other formats if he shows this kind of ability again in his next one or two outings.
