Brian Anderson, 3B, Miami Marlins

To start off 2018, second-year third baseman Brian Anderson has been solid, improving his wOBA from .309 to .337 all while showcasing a solid 10.6% walk rate and cutting his strikeout rate down to 22.5%.

Where Anderson has struggled is against right-handed pitchers, and he will get another one tonight in Atlanta Braves starter Mike Foltynewicz. In 180 plate appearances against righties going back to last year, Anderson has recorded a .312 wOBA, 25.0% strikeout rate, 29.5% hard-hit rate, and 25.0% fly-ball rate.

Adding to the challenges for Anderson, Foltyniewicz has been tough on righties, too. Over 430 batters faced since the beginning of 2017, Folty has allowed only a .312 wOBA and 26.1% hard-hit rate.

The Marlins have a paltry implied team total of just 3.91 runs, so Anderson doesn't check many -- if any -- boxes for this one.
