Justin Turner, 3B, Los Angeles Dodgers

Price: $3,000

Justin Turner is on the expensive end of the value range, but his upside tonight makes him hard to ignore.

Miami Marlins southpaw Caleb Smith has had a really solid start to 2018, but the contact he's allowing makes this matchup a lot better than it may look on the surface. Right-handed hitters have tagged him for a 36.1% hard-hit and huge 52.5% fly-ball rate in 2018, bringing his marks through two Major League seasons to a 35.4% hard-hit and 50.5% fly-ball rate against. His xFIP against righties is also a middling 4.34.

Turner's numbers against southpaws are nothing like the numbers you usually expect for a value play, and he seems to only be priced this low because of his recent return from a wrist injury. Looking back to 2017, Turner made 172 plate appearances against southpaws, and he throttled them for a 43.4% hard-hit rate, 9.3% soft-hit rate and 44.2% fly-ball rate. That translated to a massive .484 wOBA and .324 ISO.

Even if he's got some rust to shake off, he's a steal at $3,000.
