Finding contrarian plays is incredibly difficult on a slate this small because, let's face it, there are only so many plays to go around.

But people tend to avoid lefty-lefty matchups, so maybe we can get someone like Joey Gallo at slightly lower ownership despite his obvious power upside. Frankly, even though Danny Duffy is a southpaw, he simply hasn't been very good, posting 4.95 SIERA, 18.7% strikeout rate, and a 40.0% hard-hit rate allowed this season.

As you might expect, Gallo isn't as proficient without the platoon advantage, but other batters might kill for his career 45.2% hard-hit rate and .236 isolated power (ISO) against lefties.

On a three-game slate, rostering any guy who hits a dinger can mean the difference between winning and losing. Therefore, even without the ideal matchup, we should gladly take one of the league's most renowned power bats on another hot evening in Texas.
