Fantasy Baseball: 5 Pitchers to Stream in Week 12
Tanner Roark, Washington Nationals
Start: June 22nd vs. Philadelphia Phillies
ESPN percentage owned: 53.0%
Perennially treated as the least interesting pitcher on one of the league's most high-profile teams, Tanner Roark has nevertheless been workmanlike for the Washington Nationals this season, averaging more than six innings per start even as his modest 3.84 ERA and unappealing 19.7% strikeout rate leave him as a mere matchup play in shallow leagues.
Well, we certainly have the kind of matchup that should make Roark an all-leagues streaming option this week, as the Nats send the 31-year-old righty to the bump against a Phillies team that's been tailspinning hard on offense over the last month. Philadelphia's 28.9% group hard-contact and 22.8% soft-rate rates against righties are worst in the league over that span, setting up Roark quite nicely to chip away at his 3-7 record while helping streamers pad their ratios.
