Taking on New York Mets lefty Jason Vargas at Coors Field, the Colorado Rockies' 6.27 implied total is a full run higher than anyone else's tonight.

Vargas hasn't been quite as bad this year as his 7.39 ERA suggests, but his 4.52 skill-interactive ERA (SIERA) is still a weak mark. His combination of a 37.1% hard-hit rate and 39.8% fly-ball rate is a huge concern in the thin air in Denver.

Nolan Arenado makes terrific contact against southpaws, with a 40.6% hard-hit and 43.1% fly-ball rate in the split over the last two seasons. If we look at just the 123 plate appearances he has made against lefties at Coors in that time, he has turned in an absolutely absurd .531 wOBA and .414 ISO.

Taking on a fly-ball happy southpaw at Coors makes Arenado a tough fade.
