Eric Hosmer, 1B, San Diego Padres

After a change of scenery this offseason to join the San Diego Padres, Eric Hosmer has performed well for his new team. Over 311 plate appearances, the first baseman has posted a .349 weighted on-base average (wOBA) and strong 10.6% walk rate, combining that with a .180 isolated power (ISO) in a tough park for offense.

But with a matchup tonight against fellow lefty Madison Bumgarner, things may not go so well. This season, over 92 plate appearances against left-handers, Hosmer owns a .302 wOBA and 24.6% fly-ball rate.

Hosmer often makes for a solid play at first base, but it's better to look elsewhere today.
