In contrast to yesterday's clear-cut decision, there's no stud pitcher to stand out from the crowd on Friday night.

The Houston Astros are by far the day's biggest favorites, with a -297 moneyline and 1.5 runline, and the Kansas City Royals' 3.20 implied total is Friday's lowest to this point. And that gives tonight's pitcher, Dallas Keuchel, a ton of fantasy appeal.

Keuchel hasn't produced as well this year as he did in 2017, but his pitching hasn't fallen off the way his 4.15 ERA might lead you to believe. His 3.80 skill-interactive ERA (SIERA) is only a slight step down from last year's 3.61, and it's still a solid mark. His strikeout rate is also down, but again, 18.2% isn't concerning -- it just isn't especially exciting in the context of most slates.

But on top of what should be an Astros win, the Royals have been pretty bad against southpaws this year, striking out at a moderate 21.3% clip while sitting bottom-10 with an 87 wRC+. On a thin pitching slate, you can afford to pay the price for Keuchel's moderate strikeout upside.
