Boston's Eduardo Rodriguez has shown some real promise this season, with a much improved 3.59 SIERA over his 4.05 mark from 2017 and his 4.08 career average. His 3.98 xFIP against right-handed bats is a pretty middling mark, though, and as a southpaw, middling numbers aren't going to cut it against a power guy like Giancarlo Stanton.

Stanton hasn't put up exciting numbers overall this year, but he has absolutely thrashed left-handed pitching. He has a 64.3% hard-hit and 39.3% fly-ball rate, which has translated to a .493 wOBA and .468 isolated slugging (ISO) against southpaws.

That's over a small 87 plate appearance sample, but his numbers remain stellar even if we expand our view to include 2017. Over 243 plate appearances, he has crushed lefties for a .485 wOBA and .451 ISO in the last two seasons.
