Addison Russell, SS, Chicago Cubs

After a breakout 2016 campaign that saw Addison Russell bust out with a career-best 95 runs batted in, the shortstop dropped back in 2017 with only a .305 wOBA. And he's only slightly improved on that number so far this year, with a .327 mark.

To make matters worse, Russell just isn't making a ton of hard contact. He's only done so at a rate of 31.1% in 2018, which is down from 2017's rate of 32.2%.

He also faces Minnesota Twins ace Jose Berrios, who has dominated same-sided bats this season for a 28.9% hard-hit rate, 28.4% strikeout rate, and .269 wOBA. All of this adds up to Russell being one to avoid up the middle.
