We have a couple of stud pitching options on today's slate, with Justin Verlander and Trevor Bauer going for their respective clubs. Verlander ranks slightly ahead of Bauer in both SIERA (2.98 compared to Bauer's 3.04) and strikeout rate (31.8% to 31.3%), and while neither draws a great matchup, Verlander has an edge for fantasy purposes.

The Oakland Athletics have been very solid against right-handed pitching this season, sitting fifth in wRC+, but they still have Tuesday's lowest implied total at 3.07 runs. The Houston Astros are also the day's third-biggest favorites, with a -220 moneyline that sits just behind Cleveland's -223 and New York's -227.

The A's also strike out at a decent rate against righties, ranking 15th at their 22.2% clip. Verlander ranks fifth among qualifying pitchers in strikeout rate this season, giving him big strikeout potential to go with the safety of tonight's favorable betting lines.
