Brandon Belt, 1B, San Francisco Giants

A late west coast game, combined with the pitcher-friendly AT&T Park, means few ought to be looking at Brandon Belt for their lineups tonight. But if we're strictly talking about his pitching matchup, he gets one of the best on the board against Edwin Jackson.

Jackson has a 2.45 ERA through three starts, but that's almost certainly just small sample size noise for a guy who's exceeded a 5.00 ERA and SIERA in each of the last two seasons. Over those two seasons, he only posted an 18.7% strikeout rate and 11.6% walk rate against lefties, while allowing a .339 wOBA.

Meanwhile, Belt continues to enjoy a stellar 2018 season, producing a 46.5% hard-hit rate and 51.1% fly-ball rate against right-handers for a .410 wOBA and .253 ISO. Owning a career 133 wRC+ in the platoon split, don't let the pitcher-friendly venue scare you off from considering Belt.
