10 Fantasy Baseball Players to Buy and Sell for Week 16
Buy Wil Myers
Since returning from the disabled list last month, San Diego Padres first baseman/outfielder has been terrific, hitting .274/.358/.607 with 7 homers, 17 RBIs and 12 runs scored in 95 plate appearances. Myers is also capable of stealing a few bags, with three so far since coming back.
Myers is walking 11.6% of the time during that stretch, a bit better than the league average for first basemen (10.2%), and he's striking out at a 23.2% rate, just slightly higher than the leaguer average (22.6%). And on the season, his .274 isolated power is much better than the league average at first (.189).
When looking at outfielders, his .378 wOBA is 10th-best in baseball among players with at least 130 plate appearances, and it is 9th among first basemen. Myers is in the midst of a quietly good season for the Padres and would be a worthwhile, under-the-radar pickup for the second half of the season.
