10 Fantasy Baseball Players to Buy and Sell for Week 16
Sell Mike Foltynewicz
Mike Foltynewicz is the first of two Atlanta Braves pitchers to try to sell this week. In his first 16 starts this year, he went 6-4 with a 2.02 ERA and allowed a slash line of .186/.280/.299. But he's struggled in his last two outings, surrendering five earned runs in six innings in each start, giving him an ERA of 7.11.
Yes, it's just two starts at the end of a long first half against some pretty good competition (Milwaukee and Toronto). And no, you don't want to panic sell Foltynewicz based off two bad starts to finish off the first half of the season.
But it's also unlikely he's going to be a pitcher who sports a 2.02 ERA over the last three months of the year, so if you can sell him and get a more established pitcher with a longer track record of dominance, dealing Folty might be a very smart move.
