The Boston Red Sox are a nightly stacking option, but they will need to be laser-focused tonight if they're going to generate serious offense against New York Yankees starter Luis Severino.
In 2018, Severino has held same-sided bats to a 31.7% hard-hit rate, .268 wOBA, and 27.8% strikeout rate. While Eduardo Nunez is likely to be in the lineup, and he regularly occupies the six-spot in the batting order, looking elsewhere at the hot corner might be the smartest play.
In 264 plate appearances against righties in 2018, Nunez owns only a .296 wOBA and 25.2% hard-hit rate. He does stand out as a cheap, salary-saving option in a solid offense, but it's probably better to peep somewhere else on Friday.
