Chris Iannetta, C, Colorado Rockies

Chris Iannetta is having a down year, but he's still making some ridiculous contact against southpaws. Over 117 plate appearances in the split, he is sporting a 40.3% hard-hit and 5.6% soft-hit rate to go with a 36.1% fly-ball rate. He ranks fifth in average exit velocity among hitters with at least 50 batted balls against lefties this year.

Tonight, he's up against San Diego Padres southpaw Eric Lauer, putting him in a great spot to turn that into big production.

Lauer has a shaky 4.74 SIERA through his first 18 Major League starts, and he has been tagged for a 40.2% hard-hit rate by right-handed bats. Iannetta isn't a consistent producer, but his contact gives him a big ceiling in this matchup, and that's easy to like for only $100 more than minimum salary.
