Matt Carpenter, 1B, St. Louis Cardinals

Matt Carpenter has cooled off since his fiery return from the All-Star break, but he still boasts a .390 wOBA and elite .301 ISO on the season, as well as a .438 wOBA and .377 ISO in the second half.

His numbers don't change much with and without the platoon advantage, but he has been slightly more powerful against right-handed pitching, with a .400 wOBA and .302 ISO on the year, plus a .437 wOBA and .387 ISO in the second half.

Tonight, he's up against Cincinnati Reds righty Homer Bailey, who has an ugly 4.90 SIERA and is allowing a huge 42.0% hard-hit rate on the year. Bailey has allowed at least 3 earned runs in each of his last four starts (16 total in that stretch), and this is a good spot for Carpenter's production to pick back up.
