Daniel Descalso, 2B, Arizona Diamondbacks

Price: $3,000

Daniel Descalso has shown huge improvements from the dish this year. His .354 wOBA (over 370 plate appearances) crushes both the .318 mark he posted in 2017 and his career .305 wOBA. The same is true of his .205 ISO.

That production has been no fluke, either, as he's sporting career-high clips in both hard-hit rate (40.9%) and fly-ball rate (45.6%), while his soft-hit rate (15.8%) is a career-low.

He doesn't have a great matchup tonight, taking on Anibal Sanchez and the Atlanta Braves, but Descalso's production is enough to put him in play at this price-point anyway. The slate is short and thin on value options, so you have to make some compromises to find appealing low-cost bats.
