Kyle Seager, 3B, Seattle Mariners

The worm turned in a hurry for Kyle Seager, who has gone from being boring and reliable to just plain boring, with the veteran infielder's .215/.265/.390 season-long slash line amounting to easily his worst campaign as a pro.

But there might be some juice left in the tank yet for the Seattle Mariners stalwart. Seager is squaring up the ball well over the last month, stroking 40.3% hard hits, 20.9% liners, and a mere 7.5% soft contact over his past 96 plate appearances. With a .198 ISO against southpaws over the past three seasons, the veteran lefty doesn't suffer pronounced platoon splits, so he's playable at what should be a notable discount against spotty left handers like Joey Lucchesi, Eric Lauer, and Andrew Heaney, and he certainly makes for a cheap, no-frills roster filler against righties Jaime Barria and Felix Pena.
