Facing one of the most explosive offenses in major league baseball, Andrew Cashner is faced with a tall task in pitching against the Oakland Athletics, and he makes one we should likely avoid.

The A's have been creeping up the leaderboards in recent weeks, and they now sit fifth-best in team weighted on-base average (wOBA, .327) and third-best in isolated power (ISO, .187).

That's bad news for the Baltimore Orioles starter, who is striking out only 14.7% of batters this season on his way to a poor 5.30 skill-interactive ERA (SIERA), which ranks second-worst among qualified starters in 2018.
