Expected to give up the most runs (5.45) on the main slate tonight, James Shields has been struggling lately, and he's facing an Cleveland Indians offense that rips righties. That's not good news for him.

Since the All-Star Break, Shields has struggled to the tune of a 4.61 skill-interactive ERA (SIERA) and 44.7% fly-ball rate, and his strikeout rate has dipped to only 19.5%.

While Shields has kept his walks down, his first-pitch strike rate (56.7%) has dipped as well, which has led him to pitch into some hitter's counts. Facing a lineup that ranks fourth in team wOBA (.331), it could make for a quick hook for Shields.
