The Cleveland Indians boast a strong 5.18 implied total in tonight's matchup with the Kansas City Royals and right-hander Glenn Sparkman.

Sparkman usually serves as a reliever, but based on what we've seen in his last two starts, he will stay in the game longer than the usual 1 or 2 innings we see from an "opener." Each of his two 2018 starts saw him pitch 4 innings, despite conceding two and three runs in those starts. He has also pitched 4 innings in relief twice this season, allowing two runs in both of those appearances.

He has only managed a 4.67 SIERA on the year, which is about what you'd expect from a guy who struggled to the tune of a 4.42 xFIP in his 12 Triple-A starts.

Jose Ramirez' ridiculous fantasy numbers don't really need much introduction at this point of the season. He still sits fourth in the Majors in home runs (38), seventh in runs scored (107), seventh in RBI (104) and fifth in stolen bases (33).

The switch-hitter has an especially deadly .411 wOBA and .315 ISO on a 37.6% hard-hit and 46.4% fly-ball rate against right-handed pitching, and he should have no issues with Sparkman and the Royals' relievers, who also collectively rank bottom-five in group xFIP on the season.
