A quick glance at traditional metrics for Francisco Liriano shows a decent-enough season as he's posting a 4.40 ERA over 131 innings. But a deeper dive reveals some serious regression could be coming.

Over that same time frame, Liriano has recorded a 5.08 skill-interactive ERA (SIERA) along with a shoddy 18.3% strikeout rate and 12.4% walk rate.

Liriano also faces one of the best hitting teams in baseball, at least over the last two weeks. The Minnesota Twins have recorded the 10th-best team weighted on-base average (wOBA, .337) over this timeframe, and they have been striking out at only a 17.9% clip.
