NFBC leagues have become the standard reference point in fantasy baseball circles for average draft position (ADP) data. Their ADP data is extremely useful to everyone in the industry -- writers and fantasy players alike. But it's important to know how to best use the numbers.

Because NFBC leagues open right at the conclusion of the previous year's World Series, looking at the overall ADP data can be misleading. Digging into the ADP for recent drafts offers us a clearer -- and better -- picture of the current market.
