Franmil Reyes, OF, San Diego Padres

We only got a 285-plate appearance sample for him, but Franmil Reyes looked great from the plate in his first major league season in 2018.

His .360 wOBA and .218 ISO were backed up by a terrific 44.2% hard-hit rate. He could be in for some regression in home run numbers, having posted only a 29.8% fly-ball rate but a 29.6% home run-to-fly-ball ratio, but his hard contact and 8.4% walk rate are great signs that he can continue to produce even if he's not going yard as often.

He absolutely raked against southpaws too, turning a 48.3% hard-hit rate into a .437 wOBA.

That positions him well for tonight's game against the San Francisco Giants and left-hander Derek Holland, who has posted a SIERA north of 5.00 in each of the last two seasons, and who got crushed for a 45.4% hard-hit rate by right-handed hitters last year.
