3 Daily Fantasy Baseball Players to Avoid on 4/11/19
Mookie Betts, OF, Boston Red Sox
FanDuel Price: $4,800
A nasty blister problem derailed Aaron Sanchez from a breakout 2017 campaign, but quietly lost in 2018 were some positive signs for the righty, especially versus same-sided batters.
Against righty sticks, the Toronto Blue Jays hurler recorded a .292 wOBA in 56 2/3 innings pitched, including a decent 21.5% strikeout rate and strong 27.7% fly-ball rate.
That all makes the most expensive hitter on today's main slate a tough one to roster. While Mookie Betts slammed all pitching a year ago, he did see noticeable dips in a few key statistics without the platoon advantage, such as batting average (.368 against lefties, .339 versus righties), isolated power (.368/.271), and wOBA (.488/.436).
If you want to fade the pricey outfielder, it may make sense tonight.
