Rhys Hoskins, 1B, Philadelphia Phillies

Price: $4,000

Even though only 26 of his 107 plate appearances have come with the platoon advantage this season, Rhys Hoskins still boasts a terrific .411 wOBA and .307 ISO on a 43.3% hard-hit and 50.0% fly-ball rate so far in 2019.

Miami Marlins southpaw Caleb Smith is admittedly looking pretty deadly this year, with a 3.10 SIERA through four starts. His strikeout rate is up, his walk rate is down, and he's been tough to score runs against. His career-average SIERA still sits at 4.01, though, so for as good as he's looking so far, it's worth noting that it's only a four-game sample and he could see some regression (though probably not all the way up to that average -- his peripherals show plenty of reason to believe his improvements are for real).

This is a small five-game slate, too, and it's not a great one for offense, so the Phillies' 4.32-run implied total is actually the third-highest of the day.

The Seattle Mariners rank second, and they give us the red-hot Mitch Haniger at $5,600 in a matchup with a southpaw. If you can afford that hefty price-tag, you can forego Hoskins for Haniger, but with value also tending to be scarce on such a short slate, that $1,600 difference is significant.
