The wheels fell off for Justin Masterson in 2014, as he set career highs in ERA (5.88) and walk rate (11.7%). His career walks per nine innings is 3.71, and he soared past that mark in 2014 by posting a 4.83 BB/9. Masterson walked two in his first start of 2015, a win against the Phillies -- if you can handle the occasional walk, Masterson is your guy this week against the Nationals.

The Washington Nationals have been sluggish out of the gate, scoring four runs or less in each game this season and scoring six combined runs in their two wins. Boston has yet to play a game at home, and they've scored at least two runs in every game this season. If the Red Sox hitters can spot Masterson another lead like they did last week, an effective Masterson can get you a win and respectable ERA and WHIP (3.00, 0.83 after one start in 2015).
