Fantasy Baseball Streaming Pitchers: Wednesday Offers Multiple Streaming Options
Kyle Hendricks, Chicago Cubs
Yahoo Ownership: 28%
ESPN Ownership: 31%
It’s tough to not be a fan of how Kyle Hendricks has pitched in 2015 -- his 1.0 WAR is tied for third on the Cubs’ rotation. The pitching staff as a whole owns a 7.1 WAR, seventh best in baseball. He gets two starts this week with one a streaming lock.
The Colorado Rockies average an anemic 3.44 runs per road start, putting them just ahead of offensive juggernauts from Philadelphia, Cincinnati and Miami. Their .238 average and .268 on-base percentage are bottom three in all of baseball away from home, too. Hendricks should be able to rack up a few more strikeouts than usual, as the Rox average 8.75 punch outs per game.
The Milwaukee Brewers can put up some runs (191 in 49 home games), but their weighted on-base average (wOBA) of .307 is a bit to be desired, and their -44.8 Offensive Runs Above Average is 23rd overall. Tack on a 1.05 ground-ball-to-fly-ball ratio (G/F) and hitting into 50 double plays at home -- and maybe less proven players in the lineup from trades -- and Hendricks looks pretty good as a two-start streamer this week.
