Ryan Braun has destroyed left-handed pitching over the last few seasons. Last year, he posted a .233 ISO and a .408 wOBA versus southpaws. However, this year, his numbers have been even better in a smaller sample.

In just 33 at-bats versus lefties this season, Braun has totaled a .364 ISO and 44.8 hard-hit rate while jacking 4 home runs.

Tonight, he’ll face Wei-Yin Chen, who has struggled to contain right-handed hitters recently. He’s allowed 5 home runs this year and a .202 ISO to righties, just below his 2015 ISO mark of .228.

Chen strikes out only 5.63 right-handed batters per nine, so Braun should put the ball in play every time he steps to the plate.

Playing in Miami tonight, Braun is an elite option who will be able to take advantage of Miami’s new park dimensions, where the home run park factor has risen from 28th over the previous three seasons to 7th this season.
