Ervin Santana has never been overly scary on the mound. He owns a career 4.16 ERA and 4.11 SIERA while he has produced slightly worse numbers so far this season with a 4.29 SIERA. His splits against left-handed hitters are especially unimpressive, allowing a .336 wOBA with a 4.34 xFIP.

Chris Coghlan has had a pretty brutal start to the year, hitting .158/.233/.301, but with a .174 BABIP and 32.0% hard-hit rate, there's plenty of room for optimism that he can turn it around. He has a career .336 wOBA and .159 ISO against right-handed pitching, and with a favorable matchup tonight, his upside is really appealing when you account for his price tag.
