Edwin Encarnacion hasn’t been the same hitter in 2016. Despite 8 of his 11 home runs coming versus right-handed pitching, his ISO, hard hit rate, and wOBA splits have all fallen significantly from a year ago.
However, when someone’s ISO split has “dropped” to .190, it’s hard to complain. Plus, Encarnacion has recorded five extra-base hits in his last seven games, perhaps a sign that he’s returning to his pre-2016 form.
