Eric Hosmer, 1B, Kansas City Royals

Why He Will Go Overlooked:

There are several top-end first basemen in good matchups today, which will leave the recently cold Eric Hosmer overlooked. The Royals implied total of 4.6 runs, while good, doesn't stand out on today's slate.

Why You Should Use Him:

Hosmer ended his red-hot May by averaging 26.6 FanDuel points over his past five games. He finished the month with a .320 batting average, 7 homers, and 25 RBI. He hasn't been able to carry that success into June, though, still looking for his first extra-base hit of the month.

Hosmer and the Royals have an excellent matchup against right-hander Mike Wright, whose career ERA sits at 5.96. Hosmer has crushed righties throughout his career, elevating his slugging percentage against lefties by 90 points and his wOBA by 50 points. His numbers on the road against righties have been even better, which bodes well for tonight's matchup at the hitter-friendly Camden Yards.
