Over his brief career (232 2/3 innings), Nate Karns has proven to be a pitcher who can put up above-average strikeout numbers but has trouble with walks. He has been true to form in 2016, posting a sparkly 23.4% strikeout rate and not-so-pretty 9.8% walk rate.

Karns is our third-ranked pitcher for his matchup with the Cleveland Indians. A decent offensive team, Cleveland struggles away from home, ranking 27th in OPS on the road (.677), and Safeco Field, which ranks 26th in ESPN’s Park Factors, isn’t an ideal environment for scoring runs.
