Stephen Strasburg, SP, Washington Nationals

While Kershaw is so dominant and consistent, it may be Stephen Strasburg who is the highest owned pitcher in tournaments tonight, for a couple reasons.

For one, he’s the largest Vegas favorite on the board. At -245, the odds of Strasburg picking up the all-important 12-point FanDuel win bonus is much higher than any other pitcher. Strasburg, who has yet to take a loss this season, has a great chance to improve to 10-0.

The second reason, which is tied to the first, is his matchup. He’ll host the Phillies tonight, who are 28th in the MLB versus right-handed pitching with a .288 ISO. Looking at Strasburg’s 11.39 K/9, his ceiling is extremely high tonight with the strikeout potential and lack of offensive firepower from the Phillies.

Lastly, his price is $1,100 cheaper than Kershaw, so more people will look to save some cash and roster Strasburg. On game theory alone, it may be worth fading Strasburg in tourneys tonight. But there’s no doubt about it -- he’s one of the night’s best options.
