Justin Upton's numbers on the season aren't going to blow you away, but he's sporting a 34.2 percent hard-hit rate and 44.5 percent fly ball rate, both encouraging numbers, while he has really picked up his production over the past two weeks. In that span, he's holding a .341 wOBA and .174 ISO, much higher than his production earlier in the year.

He has a great matchup tonight against White Sox righty Miguel Gonzalez, who has yet to finish a season with a SIERA below 4.30 in his five-year career and is sitting at 4.39 this season. He has allowed a .317 wOBA with a 4.37 xFIP to righties over his career, and -- especially when you combine that with Upton's recent production -- that makes Upton an appealing play tonight.
