Shin-Soo Choo is making some great contact this year, with a 40.6 percent hard-hit rate that is on pace to be the second of his career and a 35.5 percent fly ball rate that is his best since 2009. Despite this, he only has a 9.1 percent home run-to-fly ball rate, well below his career average of 14.4 percent, and we can expect to start seeing his home run numbers trend upwards.

He also has a great .300/.403/.502 career slash against right-handed pitching, making tonight's matchup with Dan Straily and the Reds a promising one.

Straily has a 4.57 SIERA on the year and has yet to best a 4.25 in his five-year career. He has an ugly 5.64 xFIP against left-handed hitters this season and a 5.26 over his career, and he's likely going to struggle with Choo tonight.
