Steven Matz showed promise last year in 35 innings as a late-season call-up, and he's following it up with a solid campaign in his first full year in the bigs.

Through 82 innings this season, the 25-year-old is posting a 3.49 SIERA, 23.2% strikeout rate and 5.3% walk rate.

Matz, a lefty, is our second-ranked pitcher for his home matchup with the Miami Marlins. The Mets' Citi Field is the best pitchers' park in the game, ranking 30th in park factor, and Miami has just a .315 wOBA against southpaws, compared to a .322 wOBA versus right-handers. The Marlins have the day's third-lowest implied total at 3.67 runs.
