Addison Russell, SS, Chicago Cubs

The Chicago Cubs have a 5.55 implied total, the highest on today's main slate, as they take on Anthony Ranaudo and the Chicago White Sox.

Ranaudo has made only 9 starts and 13 appearances through his first three seasons in the Majors and has been largely terrible. He boasts a 6.03 SIERA, and his 12.10 percent walk rate is higher than his 10.60 percent strikeout rate, while he has allowed 2.01 home runs per nine.

The high-powered Cubs offense should have no trouble shelling Ranaudo, and Addison Russell is a great cost-effective way to get exposure to that.

Russell is slashing .267/.336/.419 with a .325 wOBA and .152 isolated slugging against right-handed pitching to start his young career, and while those aren't jaw-dropping numbers by any stretch, Ranaudo isn't any ordinary righty, and Russell has huge upside tonight.
