It's easy to look at Adam Lind's production this year and write the 33-year-old off as washed up and over the hill, but a deeper look at the numbers reveals that's not the case.

He's sporting a huge 39.0% hard-hit rate (well above his 35.1% career average), but his BABIP is sitting at a career-low .237.

He has hit a career .288/.347/.504 slash against right-handed pitching, and with a 40.3% hard-hit rate against righties this year, there's reason to believe his production will pick up.

Lind will benefit from a good matchup tonight against Boston Red Sox righty Rick Porcello, who has a 3.89 SIERA on the year as well as a career .344 wOBA and 4.14 xFIP against left-handed hitters.
